It’s hard for me to believe that the original Dukes of Hazzard debuted on CBS on this day back in 1979. It seems like just a few years ago I was sitting in front of the TV every Friday night as a young kid watching the show. Time really does fly…
Here’s a look at Waylon singing the theme song live. The original TV intro with Waylon’s theme song can be viewed on YouTube. Enjoy!

Montgomery Gentry’s Music Video For Their Latest Single, “Where I Come From,” Garners Over A Million Views
Nashville, TN (January 25, 2012) — Montgomery Gentry’s music video for their latest single, which is #17 this week, is hitting the hearts of Americans with over 1.3 million views of “Where I Come From” and thousands of comments on the award-winning duo’s YouTube page. The powerful music video, shot from a deployed soldier’s viewpoint, is one of the most intense, influential videos ever done by the duo.Directed by Potsy Ponciroli and produced by Chris Conner from Team Genius Productions, the video was shot in a California desert and a rock quarry in Nashville, TN. Working closely with the video treatment, Eddie Montgomery and Troy Gentry wanted to honor the troops and the towns “where they come from.” The video opens with a battlefield scene with a wounded soldier laying on the ground. While his fellow soldiers try to rescue him, he is having flashbacks and memories of his beloved hometown.
“We’ve met many of our American Heroes along the way and they have always talked about how thinking of ‘where they come from’ is what motivates them in difficult times,” explains Eddie Montgomery. “It was important for us to make this video as close to real as we could.”
Troy Gentry adds, “We are really proud of this song and the music video. Just as our music is always about things we have seen or lived, the depth of this single is real. We’re happy our friends are responding to it.”
“Where I Come From” is the lead single from Montgomery Gentry’s new album, Rebels On The Run, released on their new label home, Average Joe’s Entertainment.

Video: New Music Tuesday – Kellie Pickler Performing ‘Unlock That Honky Tonk’
Unlock That Honky Tonk is a track from Kellie Pickler’s 100 Proof album, which was released today. USA Today published a track-by-track review of the album yesterday. Check it out here.
Here’s what they said about this song:
Unlock That Honky Tonk is “a stomping song that’s further evidence of Kellie’s shift in musical direction on 100 Proof.”
They said this about 100 Proof:
“Kellie Pickler puts aside the Nashville pop of her earlier albums and goes looking for her country soul. It’s a big departure for the singer, who had her biggest hit writing with Taylor Swift. But it’s also a particularly satisfying album, especially for those fans who fell for her during American Idol’s 2006 season.”

McGraw Strikes Gold On Eve Of Newest Album Release Emotional Traffic With Certification Of Latest #1 Single
(Nashville, Tennessee) – January 23, 2012 –Tim McGraw adds yet another awards plaque to his extensive trophy wall with the announcement that his most recent #1 single Felt Good On My Lips has struck digital download gold on the sales front.
The good news comes on the countdown to McGraw’s much anticipated new studio album, Emotional Traffic, being released by Curb Records tomorrow. Felt Good On My Lips is included in the new package.
The song reached #1 for McGraw on the country charts in January 2011 and stayed at the pinnacle for three consecutive weeks. It also scored well on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart. A collaborative creative effort from songwriters Brett Beavers, Jim Beavers and Brett and Brad Warren, Felt Good On My Lips was produced by Tim McGraw and Byron Gallimore.
The good news of new gold for McGraw highlights a major January return to high visibility in the marketplace. The January 24th release of Emotional Traffic has been preceded on the Curb release schedule by four digital single releases from the new package by the label.
The release of Emotional Traffic also serves as a fresh reminder of the strength of the unique superstar presence McGraw has carved in the industry since his 1994 breakout with the #1 single Don’t Take The Girl.—a presence that was reflected in Nielsen Broadcast Data Systems 2010 proclamation of Tim McGraw as “Artist of the Decade” (2000-2010).
On the heels of the release of Emotional Traffic, McGraw’s legions of fans hoping to catch their favorite artist in concert will potentially be striking more gold this summer. In June, McGraw will join Kenny Chesney on the “Brothers of the Sun Tour.” The coast-to-coast large arena concert schedule will hit more than 20 major market venues between June and August. Markets already confirmed include Tampa, Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia, Nashville, Charlotte, Pittsburgh, Chicago, Denver, Detroit, Anaheim, and Washington, DC. Get Emotional Traffic on iTunes.
