Rachael, one of our fans on Facebook, recently won a pair of tickets and a backstage package to see Rascal Flatts in concert with opening acts Chris Young and Kellie Pickler. Rachael graciously offered to write the following review of the concert and took the amazing photos below. Thanks for sharing Rachael. You’re the best!
P.S. Congrats on your recent wedding as well!
Rachael’s Review – Rascal Flatts Concert w/Chris Young and Kellie Pickler
As soon as we got to the concert we walked back to where the buses were parked and Chris Young was just walking up! Perfect timing! We got autographs and pictures with him. We waited there for awhile and then went to pick up our tickets. We were shocked when we saw they were 2nd row center! Wow! So then we headed up to the hospitality room.
I’ve been to a lot of meet and greets but nothing like that. It was this fancy room with all kinds of free food and drinks and they played Rascal Flatts songs the whole time. We all got goody bags filled with a t-shirt, poster, and a coozie. Those guys sure know how to treat their fans!
Around 8:00 they took us down to the meet and greet. They were so nice, especially Gary and Joe Don who are big huggers, all the girls were lovin that! I was really surprised at how many people they met. I think their were a total of 81 meet and greet pictures on their site. I don’t think most bands who are as big as they are, do that, and I like them even more after seeing how well they treated everyone.
After the meet and greet they gave us autographed cards, and we went back to the hospitality room to grab our stuff and another drink before going to watch Kellie. She was awesome. I especially loved when she sang Dolly Parton’s Jolene because she sounded so much like Dolly! Rascal Flatts came out after Kellie. Wow! They sang most of their hits and each of the guys took a turn talking to the crowd. They were very interactive and were grabbing hands and letting people sing into their microphones, and they even pulled kids up on stage.
The highlight of the show had to be the very end when Kellie and Chris came out to help sing Summer Nights. Overall it was tons of fun and definitely one of the best shows I’ve ever been to! I can’t wait to see ‘em again!

Just in case you missed it, here’s Jewel’s touching musical tribute during the 2010 Emmy Awards. She wrote the song for a friend of hers who passed away from cancer.
