Country Stars Born Today – Deborah Allen, Marty Stuart And Eddie Montgomery – Enjoy Their Biggest Hits

On this day in 1953, Deborah Allen was born in Memphis, Tennessee. Back in 1983, Deborah enjoyed a lot of success on the country charts when she charted two top five singles: Baby I Lied (#4) and I’ve Been Wrong Before (#2). While I’ve Been Wrong Before is her highest charting country single, she’s most remembered for Baby I Lied because it was not only a country hit, but also a crossover hit on the pop charts.

Eddie Montgomery is one-half of the very successful duo of Montgomery Gentry. Eddie was born on this day back in 1963 in Lancaster, Kentucky. Montgomery Gentry have five number one singles to their credit, but rather than feature one of them here, I want to feature one of the coolest moments I’ve seen on video in a long time. In honor of Eddie’s birthday, here’s footage of he and Troy getting an unexpected invitation to join the Grand Ole Opry by country legend Charlie Daniels. The joy and appreciation in both their faces is priceless.

New Music Video: Kellie Pickler’s Official Music Video For ‘Tough’

Kellie Pickler’s new video for her latest single Tough premiered today. She actually released Tough as a single back on June 13th, and it peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot Country charts. I would have liked to have seen Kellie release the music video either before or around the same time as the single. Nevertheless, enjoy the video and maybe the song can make a return to the top 30. We shall see.
