February 3, 1959 – A Day That Changed Waylon Jennings Forever

Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, J.P. Richardson and Roger Peterson died on this day back in February 3, 1959 when their plane went down near Mason City, Iowa. It’s a day that shocked America and changed Waylon Jennings forever.

Waylon, Buddy’s bass player, was supposed to be on the plane, but he gave up his seat on the plane. The video below contains an interview with Jennings, actual video and audio footage from the crash site and live clips of the bands.
