Happy Birthday To Rory Lee Feek Of Joey & Rory – Born Today in 1965 – This Song’s For You Rory!

Rory was born in Atchison, Kansas on April 25, 1965. He and his wife Joey make up the duo Joey & Rory, the 2011 ACM Top New Vocal Duo of the Year. Their highest charting single so far is their 2008 debut single Cheater, Cheater, which peaked at #30 on the Billboard Hot Country charts.

My favorite Joey & Rory song is their collaboration with Zac Brown Band called This Song’s For You. In honor of Rory’s birthday, here’s their official music video for This Song’s For You. Enjoy and join us in wishing Rory a happy birthday!

Zac Brown Band’s ‘Colder Weather’ Moves Up To Number One On The Billboard Hot Country Charts

Earlier today, we featured the amazing performance of Colder Weather by the Zac Brown Band and James Taylor at the 2011 ACM Awards, and when the Billboard Hot Country charts officially came out today for the week of April 16, 2011, Colder Weather jumped all the way from number four last week to number one this week.

This is ZBB’s fifth number one country single in a row on the Billboard Hot Country charts, and their sixth overall. 2009′s Whatever It Is, which peaked at #2, is their only single that didn’t hit number one on the Billboard country charts, but it did hit number one on the Mediabase charts. How impressive is that?

In case you missed their ACM performance with James Taylor, here it is again as well as their official music video for Colder Weather. Enjoy and Congrats guys!

Zac Brown Band Made History During This Week Last Year

Zac Brown Band’s Highway 20 Ride moved up to number one on the Mediabase Country charts during this week last year, which gave them four number one hits in a row from their debut album. In doing so, they became the first band in history to do this. Now that’s impressive! Enjoy a look at their official music video for Highway 20 Ride one more time…

Reba McEntire, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band, Alabama, And More To Perform On April 3rd’s ACM’s

The Academy of Country Music announced more artists today who’ll perform at the ACM awards ceremony on April 3, 2011 in Las Vegas. They include James Taylor, Zac Brown Band, Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, Reba McEntire, Alabama, Dierks Bentley, Martina McBride, Sara Evans and Ronnie Dunn.

The academy had previously announced that Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley would perform on the show. Sounds like a pretty darn good lineup to me. And, of course, the show will be hosted by Reba and Blake Shelton.

‘Let It Go’ From Zac Brown Band – My Favorite From ‘You Get What You Give’

Zac Brown Band’s You Get What You Give is definitely one of the best albums released during 2010. Let It Go is my favorite track from the album, and I predict will be the next single released after Colder Weather. If you’ve never heard it, crank up your speakers, pop a top, relax and just let it go… Enjoy!

Relive Zac Brown Band And Jimmy Buffett’s CMT Crossroads One Year Later

It was exactly one year ago today that Zac Brown Band and the great Jimmy Buffett taped an installment of CMT Crossroads at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of CMT Crossroads. I love Zac Brown Band, and I’ve been a fan of Jimmy Buffett’s for over 25 years. In the playlist below, enjoy Toes, Chicken Fried, Son of a Son of a Sailor and Free/One Love.
