#1 Flashback – Carrie Underwood – ‘Jesus, Take The Wheel’ Begins Six-Week Run At Number One

On this day back in 2006, Carrie Underwood’s Jesus, Take The Wheel began it’s six-week run atop the Billboard Hot Country charts. It was her first number one hit on the Hot Country charts. Her debut single Inside Your Heaven was a number one hit, but only on the Hot 100 and Pop charts. It peaked at #52 on the country charts. Enjoy Carrie’s official music video below as well her AOL Sessions performance.

P.S. Did you know that besides Inside your Heaven, Carrie’s only had two singles, Don’t Forget To Remember Me (#2) and I Told You So w/Randy Travis (#2), that haven’t reached number one on the country charts. Her current single, Mama’s Song is at #2 right now. That’s pretty darn impressive.

Carrie Underwood’s Mama’s Song Has A Firm Grasp Of #1 On GACTV’s Top 20 Video Countdown

It’s always interesting to me to compare the Billboard country charts with the music video charts on sites like GACTV.com. While the number one song in the land on the Billboard Country charts is Rascal Flatts’ Why Wait, the number one video this week on GACTV’s Top 20 Video Countdown is Carrie Underwood’s Mama’s Song.

Here’s a look at the top five on GACTV’s countdown, and for comparison, the song’s Billboard country chart position is in parentheses. Enjoy!

P.S. Carrie’s video is featured below. Click on the song name below to watch the other four videos.

P.S.S. Surprisingly, Rascal Flatts’ video for Why Wait isn’t even in the top 20 on GAC’s countdown.

1. Carrie Underwood – Mama’s Song (#7)
2. Jason Aldean – My Kinda Party (#5)
3. Blake Shelton – Who Are You When I’m Not Looking (#18)
4. Bo Bice – You Take Yourself With You (Outside Top 100)
5. Frankie Ballard – Tell Me You Get Lonely (#34)
