Justin Bieber’s Gone Country? Not Yet, But He Does Love Alan Jackson

If you’re a country music purist, a headline like that probably just made you a little sick at your stomach. No worries though. Bieber’s not ‘Gone Country’. He just likes country music. During his soundcheck before his recent Nashville concert, he revealed that he likes country music.
Specifically, he’s a big fan of Martina McBride, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts and Alan Jackson. He even sang the entire first verse to Jackson’s Chattahoochee. I’m personally not a fan of his music, although my nieces may become a fan of Alan Jackson now that ‘The Bieber’ said he liked him, but it’s pretty cool when a teen pop idol actually named someone like Alan Jackson as one of his favorites. And, as CMT says, that’s what’s got the web buzzzing…

So, why was Taylor Swift’s new single Mine released to radio late yesterday afternoon, when it was originally slated to be released in a couple of weeks? According to this clip from CMT’s Web Buzzz, blogger Perez Hilton is to blame. Apparently, he posted a bootleg MP3 of the song, and Taylor’s record label, Big Machine Records, decided to go ahead and release the single to iTunes and country radio so her fans could hear the real version of the song rather than the poor quality MP3 on Perez’ site.
