#1 Flashback – Carrie Underwood – ‘Jesus, Take The Wheel’ Begins Six-Week Run At Number One

On this day back in 2006, Carrie Underwood’s Jesus, Take The Wheel began it’s six-week run atop the Billboard Hot Country charts. It was her first number one hit on the Hot Country charts. Her debut single Inside Your Heaven was a number one hit, but only on the Hot 100 and Pop charts. It peaked at #52 on the country charts. Enjoy Carrie’s official music video below as well as her AOL Sessions performance.

P.S. Did you know that besides Inside your Heaven, Carrie’s only had three singles, Don’t Forget To Remember Me (#2), I Told You So w/Randy Travis and Mama’s Song (#2), that haven’t reached number one on the country charts. That’s pretty darn impressive to say the least.

Video: #1 Flashback – Alan Jackson’s ‘Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)’ – #1 Today In 2001

Like most people, I remember exactly where I was when 9/11 happened. It moved Alan Jackson so much that in the early morning hours of October 28, 2001, he wrote Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning) at 4a.m., and the first time he performed it was on the 2001 CMA Awards. And, on December 29, 2001, it moved up to number one on the Billboard Hot Country charts, where it stayed for five weeks. Enjoy this moving performance…
