Taylor Swift Performing Before Last Night’s Vikings/Saints NFL Game

Taylor performed her new single Mine as well as You Belong With Me last night before the kickoff of the Minnesota/New Orleans football game. My guess is that the NFL is really going after the tween and teen audience considering the main demographic for the NFL are males typically over the age of 40. Somehow, I don’t see them dancing around singing “Uh oh oh ahh…”

Lately, the NFL is all over the board. For the Super Bowl, they wheeled out and propped up The Who for the halftime show, and now for the kickoff of a new season, they went after a different crowd who were also wheeled to the show. Except this time, they were wheeled in baby carriages and three-wheels by their mothers.

It’s smart marketing though. You’ve got the men no matter what, so picking up tweens, teens and more females is definitely a good move. At least they went with Taylor and not The Wiggles

Find Out Why Taylor Swift’s New Single ‘Mine’ Was Released To Radio So Early

So, why was Taylor Swift’s new single Mine released to radio late yesterday afternoon, when it was originally slated to be released in a couple of weeks? According to this clip from CMT’s Web Buzzz, blogger Perez Hilton is to blame. Apparently, he posted a bootleg MP3 of the song, and Taylor’s record label, Big Machine Records, decided to go ahead and release the single to iTunes and country radio so her fans could hear the real version of the song rather than the poor quality MP3 on Perez’ site. Here’s the scoop from CMT:
