It was exactly one year ago today that Zac Brown Band and the great Jimmy Buffett taped an installment of CMT Crossroads at The Factory in Franklin, Tennessee. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of CMT Crossroads. I love Zac Brown Band, and I’ve been a fan of Jimmy Buffett’s for over 25 years. We’d like to congratulate our hometown boys the Zac Brown Band and Alan Jackson on their newest number one hit.
As She’s Walking Away jumped all the way from number four to number one on the Billboard Hot Country charts for the week of November 20, 2010. Congratulations guys! Enjoy the official music video as well as their live performance the other night at the 2010 CMA Awards.
Who Knows is a track on Zac Brown Band’s new CD You Get What You Give. It’s an awesome song, and this video from Bonnaroo 2009 shows why ZBB are an incredible band to see live. If you didn’t already know it, the boys can play. In case you don’t know his name, Zac’s guitar player is named Clay Cook. He’s a pretty talented singer/songwriter himself. You can see what he can do around the 6:00 mark in the video. Enjoy!
Back in September, the Zac Brown Band were on the Ellen Show, and they performed their current hit single As She’s Walking Away sans Alan Jackson. In addition to performing the song, they also shot this video of the band hanging out backstage a few minutes before they went on. Enjoy!

In a new article on CMT.com, Zac Brown shares some of his ‘Crazy Visions’ for the future. Here are a few ideas Zac shared as the keynote speaker at this past week’s Billboard/Adweek Music & Advertising Conference in Chicago:
When speaking about organizing his own music festival, Zac said, “We want to use local farms for the food, and we’re having full tractor-trailers built that have full kitchens,” he said. “Each one can feed a thousand people. So really, all we need is a field. I’ve always loved to feed people. It’s in my blood.”
Zac also shared his dedication to creating awareness about harmful chemicals:
“In the first 10 minutes of your day, you rub sodium lauryl sulfates on your teeth, then put aluminum under your arms, then add aspartame to your coffee,” he said. “You can’t even go into a gas station and find something that’s good for you. I’m not a political person. This is just what I believe.”
